Born in Philadelphia, PA Claudine Metrick is an interdisciplinary artist and Associate Professor at Pratt Munson, an affiliate of the Pratt Institute.
In 2023 and 2024, she was an artist in residence at The Oak Spring Garden Foundation. Other awards include an artist residency at The Walkaway House, The Sumac Project and a Rural and Traditional Arts Fellowship from the New York State Council on the Arts. Her work has been exhibited at the Vessels’ Gallery formerly in Boston’s South End, as well as Carroll and Sons, The Boston Center for the Arts, the Dedee Shattuck Gallery, Danforth Museum of Art, the New Bedford Art Museum, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, AS220, the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY, Arizona State University, Morehead State University, Adams State University and in the New York City area at The Painting Center, Site: Brooklyn, and Curious Matter.
Recent shows include the “Crit Ecologies: Artists, Community, and Criticality” at Hudson Valley MOCA in Peekskill, NY, and a solo exhibition of works “Biophilia” at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY.
